Meiping 梅瓶 - meaning "plum vase" - is inspired by the exquisite celadon works produced in the Song Dynasty by the Chinese Imperial Kilns. As the signature pattern in a four pattern series - with counterparts Eloquence, Arabesque and Zen - Design Director Iris Wang's intricate drawings are translated into a 55" upholstery fabric. Meiping's textures and shadows are created by dimensional warps and wefts through an intricate double-beam construction. Designed for both residential and hospitality applications - in a blend of viscose, cotton, nylon and polyester - Meiping offers an abrasion resistance over 50,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek, Cotton Duck). The large scale repeat (39-3/4” vertical and 14” horizontal) presents the pattern in eight soft colorways - adding a romantic and historical feel to the elegant home or luxurious office.
