The Manhattan home of photographer Patricia Amador and her family got a design makeover by the twin sister team of 2Michaels, resulting in a space that is lush without being excessive. The owners wanted something that wasn’t overly stiff or too contemporary-feeling. To achieve this, the designers employed an expertly-curated selection of art and artful furniture pieces to create the welcoming and comfortable living environment.
The surprisingly elegant kitchen gets a boost from dark oak cabinets and stone flooring. Woven-seat stools in chrome are unexpectedly chic, as are the wide, pickled-wood floor planks.
