Talk about immense: 26 stories totaling 440,000 square feet–plus a terrace! That’s the count for LinkedIn’s office in San Francisco. Interior Architects created an extensive environmental graphics program that provided way-finding and also established a narrative. Each level has a wall-mounted installation off the elevators that tells that floor’s “story”. Design elements include writable walls, spaces for personal artwork–alongside that of emerging local talent–and other walls for announcements or team innovations.
Carpet-patterned vinyl flooring and large-format tile provide more atmosphere than is usually present in a locker room. Simple white benches allow the other visual textures to shine.
